"Steampunk" has no set guidelines, but tends to incorporate modern day styles with Victorian era steam powered machines. The most well known example of steampunk is the giant mechanical spider in the Will Smith movie, "Wild, Wild West". Earlier reference would be any of the old movies based on the works of Jules Verne, like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
